Last Friday night, 18 players competed in mixed mufti bowls with the winners being the team of Merv Fairley, Joice McNaught and Ron Symons and the runners up were the team of Jeff Jacquier, Betty Jenkins and Larry Nunn.
Last Sunday, the final of the O’Brien Cup was played with Brad Bourke and Vinnie Mirto against Steve Kirkman and Ian Nelder. After 14 ends the scores were close being 22-19 in favour of Brad and Vinnie. Then Brad and Vinnie scored 15 shots in the next five ends, winning the final 37-21.
Friday January 22-Twilight social mixed mufti bowls with names in by 6pm for 6.30pm start.
Saturday January 23 – anniversary open triples day – $1260 in prize money. 1st and 2nd prizes. Three round prizes and semi-final runners up prizes. Win and ends. Three games of 13 ends being a round robin tournament. Semi-final of four ends and final of four ends. Play commences 9am with two games prior to lunch. $90 per team includes Chinese lunch and high tea.
