Hello readers and welcome to this month’s column,
First of all happy new year! Let’s hope 2021 is a wonderful year with everything back to normal, well as normal as I can be.
I had a full house of happy campers on Christmas Day and a group of friends over new years with a cocktail party at Montrose House followed by dancing at the Royal afterwards.
January has been really beautiful. They tell me it’s the best January weather since the 60s. I’ve had people staying from Canberra, South Coast and Tamworth.
I hosted a white dinner party on Saturday 16th January to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary in my backyard. As the weather was beautiful, we had little jazz band playing for the 40 guests who enjoyed a sumptuous tropical buffet followed by great speeches and lots of dancing. A great night was had by all.
I have a surprise birthday dinner party planned for this Sunday night for a very popular well-loved lady. She will love what we have planned for her. Can’t give you any more details — it’s a surprise!
I had rather a large film crew of 20 following me around and filming Canowindra and Montrose House last week. Glamazon, a subsidiary company of Amazon, will be featuring Canowindra as part of their series on fun, friendly and safe places to travel for the LGBTQ+ community all around the world. More visitors for Canowindra! I also had the Australian Weekender up for a visit last weekend which is great for our town.
