How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what do you like about living here? I have lived here just shy of 6 years.
Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about your work? I have recently started a small tourism business, Captain Barnacles Tours. I get a lot of satisfaction seeing people enjoy themselves as we cruise around the awesome Central West. I also do Captain Barnacles Pirate Adventures in schools.
What do you do to unwind after work or on weekends? Have a cup of tea with Sue, watch a movie, read or go for a ride.
What are you really good at? Spinning a yarn, listening, bringing a smile to kids faces and having creative moments from time to time.
What is your pet hate? Too much milk in my tea.
What is on your bucket list? I would love to go to Israel and experience a place steeped in thousands of years of powerful stories.
If you could have a super power what would it be and why? Somehow be in more than one place at the same time.
Tell us about your best holiday ever? A Caravanning holiday, towing the van with the old EJ Holden. Whenever I let the pressure off the accelerator it would pop out of gear. Going down hills Sue had to hold the “3 on the tree” gear shift in place while I operated the electric brakes.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I am a monopod, that is a one legged bloke. I started AMP Camp with Amputees NSW, an annual adventure camp for youth living with amputation, congenital limb loss or limb difference.
