The new look library at CPS.
New Library Furniture: Canowindra Public School are excited to announce that the new library furniture has finally arrived! The school received a grant from the Federal Government earlier in the year and after much planning and deliberation the furniture was ordered and delivered last week. Canowindra Public School now have seating for all ages from Kinder to Year 6. The furniture also allows for flexible learning across both rooms and more opportunity for independent and group work. Students and staff are very happy with the “new look” library!
Mobile Service NSW Bus Coming to Town: The Service NSW Bus will be at Memorial Park in Gaskill St on Thursday 10th December from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Locals can access services on the day including: driver knowledge tests, birth, death and marriage certificates, driver licence and photo card applications and renewals and working with children checks.
Canowindra Christmas Shopping Days: Will be held from 25th-28th November 2020. Shoppers in participating retail stores in the Canowindra region will receive a ticket for every $10 spent. A ticket gives you a chance to win 1 of 3 shopping vouchers (sponsored by Cabonne Council) plus additional small prizes.
The date is set: This year’s one and only Year 6 into Year 7 transition visit at Canowindra High School will be held on Thursday 26th November 2020. Canowindra High School is looking forward to welcoming incoming students on this day. The day will present the students with a variety of activities that will help them get to know the school and the students who will be joining them in Year 7 in 2021.

Good News: The border between NSW and Victoria will reopen at 12.01am on Monday 23rd November 2020.
Canowindra Cemetery Clean-Up: Well done to Tommy Jeffs, the Lions Club and all community members who helped with the Canowindra Cemetery clean-up last Sunday. The graves were swept and mopped, edges trimmed, rubbish taken away and lots of weeding completed.
These memorial seats at the Cemetery were scrubbed and weeded and some nice new silk flowers added.
