Last Sunday two major singles matches were played. Teddy Lawrence played Vinnie Mirto where Teddy took control early in the game to win the match 31-15. Roger Traves played Dool Beath. After 11 ends Dool led by 7 shots then after 19 ends Roger was able to bridge the gap to lead 15-11. From there the scores were close with the scores level at 29 all after 37 ends. Dool scored 2 shots on the last end to win the match 31-29. A minor singles match was also played with Michael Traves against Crock Watt. After 12 ends Michael led by 10 shots then Crock took control for the rest of the game to win the match 32-18.
Saturday July 18 – Major pairs final – M Lawrence and A Robson v A Wyburn and P Lees. Minor singles – L Nunn v T Mooney Marker H Webb.
Sunday July 19 – Major singles semi final- M Lawrence v I Nelder Marker R Traves. Minor triples semi finals – G Fairley, R Symons, T Mooney v M Traves, N Knight, B Bourke. N Delaney, L Nunn, D Watt v J Webb, M Wright, H Webb. Nominations are called for the Zone 4 Open, Seniors and Presidents pairs as well as the Open, Seniors and Presidents triples. Our club will be hosting a section of the Presidents triples. Nomination sheets showing dates and venues are on the notice board. Memberships for 2020-2021 are now due. Bingo this Thursday 11am.
