The Canowindra CWA are after some new guttering for the Hall in Blatchford Street.
The Essential Energy Community Choices Program is back this year to support community groups with funding of up to $2,500.
The program allows the community to vote on causes that can do with extra support in the area. A total of $175,000 will be shared by eligible groups in 20 zones across NSW. Eligible participants have to be located within Essential Energy’s network area. They also have to be a charity, registered not-for profit group or community group. Essential Energy know that local communities are doing it tough, with recent droughts and fires, as well as impacts by the health and economic crisis that is COVID-19.
A number of local community groups have applied for the grant to carry out works including:
• The Canowindra CWA to replace the guttering at the CWA Hall
• Eugowra CWA
• Cudal Men’s Shed to fund an extension to their shed
• Canowindra Home Start National Inc
Your vote will determine which groups receive grants and how much they could receive. So get your friends and family involved because the more votes received, the more money these organisations will receive.
Give a big heart in your community a little boost and vote for a group that makes a difference in your community today. You can only vote once each day. Voting is now taking place and closes at 5pm on 18th June 2020. To vote head to www.voting.essentialenergy.good2givegrants.org
