
Residents of Cabonne will have access to better community facilities after a $1 million injection into infrastructure projects from the Federal Government.
“Cabonne Shire has been on the frontline of this devastating drought, and while we’ve had some welcome rain, we’re not out of the woods yet,” said Mr Andrew Gee, Member for Calare.
The Drought Communities Programme funding will go towards the following nine projects across Cabonne communities:
• Two Central Tablelands/Cabonne water filling stations at Cargo and Cudal
• Solar power and battery system for the Canowindra Golf Club
• Fencing projects at Molong Recreation Ground Skatebowl, Cudal Memorial Park Playground, Playground at Jack Huxley Oval, Manildra and the Manildra Pool
• Solid Shade Structures at Cargo and Mullion Creek playground
• New cricket nets for Molong Recreational Ground
• Hot water system at Molong Pool
• Upgrade of kiosk, driveway and parking at Dean Park, Cudal
• Repairs and maintenance of community buildings: Yeoval Museum, Eugowra RTC, Gumble Hall, Baldry Hall and Borenore CWA Hall
• A range of small footpath projects.
