Pythons Pre-Season

13 February, 2020 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

At Pythons Pre-Season training are from left to right Jack Beath President, Peter Middleton Coach and James Watson Vice President.

The Canowindra Pythons are gearing up for a big year of rugby. Pre-season training started at Canowindra Swimming Pool last week with healthy numbers.

After the struggles faced last year with injuries towards the tail end of the season, the Pythons are keen to make an impact on the paddock this year.

“I am proud to announce a huge addition to the Pythons family in the form of a new coach, Peter Middleton. Peter brings a wealth of football and fitness knowledge to the table, along with a huge amount of experience having played over 200 games for the mighty Pythons,” said President Jack Beath.

The Pythons busy calendar year starts on Saturday 28th March with a Trial Gala Day in Boorowa. The boys then head off to Trangie for the season opening game on Saturday 18th April, 2020 is sure going to be a year not to miss!

Training is being held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm please get in contact with Jack Beath on 0437 441 346 for any more information.
