Hello readers and welcome to this month’s column the last one for the year.
As you can imagine we have been very busy at Montrose during the festive season. Finished off the month of November with an Xmas luncheon for Heather Slattery and her girls, lovely bunch who come to me every year.
On Sunday 1st December Donna Keady and the Orange Quota Club’s 30 members enjoyed Xmas High Tea and two hours of shopping in town which was great for the shop keepers.
Friday 6th December Design West Cowra and Chiropractic Life had their annual staff Xmas dinners at Montrose.
In the Tuscany room for lunch that day 30 ladies from Eugowra CWA enjoyed a scrumptious Xmas luncheon.
A luncheon for the Cowra Cake Decorators Guild was held on Sunday 7th December in the Southampton Room and the Cowra Antique Car Club enjoyed the Tuscany Room.
That night we had the Golsby Whiteley Solicitors from Cowra for Xmas Dinner in the Southampton room and a surprise 80th for Marlene Neville and her family in the Tuscany room, another 60 in total so a big day for all!
Friday 13th there were two lunches, Helen Hall and her group of ladies from Orange in the Southampton room and Marion Wilson and a big contingent of nurses from all over the state in the Tuscany room.
On Saturday 14th December Sylvia and her Cowra Home group lunched in the Tuscany room while good mate Mandy Townsend and crew lunched on the front lawn. This wonderful bunch of fun people partied from 1pm to 1am so I think they all enjoyed their lunch, grazing platters and buffet at 9pm.
Couple more coming up, I am doing breakfast, lunch (booked out) and dinner on Xmas day as I have quite a few with nowhere to go and I love to do it as well.
Thanks for all your support for my column and my mad projects, it is why I love my town. Thanks to Sarah and Roie my paper mates at the Phoenix.
Have a wonderful Xmas and Happy New Year! Bring on the rain!!!
Love Tommy xxx
