Montrose House

21 November, 2019 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Hello readers,

Welcome to the column for this month! Lot’s of things happening in and around Canowindra town at the moment.

Finished off October with a pre-wedding dinner for the Dunhill clan on Friday 25th October, with daughter Sarah getting married the next day. On Saturday 26th we had a sumptuous buffet breakfast for the 50 Catholic ladies from Cowra, Canowindra, Woodstock and Gooloogong. I then headed out to Noojee Lea to help great mate Rox Holmes with her hubby’s “Gatsby” themed 50th Birthday. There was a very large crowd looking glamourous who enjoyed my grazing platters.

Same night I then helped my mate Eleena Markcrow with the Mental health Fundraiser, with a full house enjoying the games and quizzes and also “Tallulah” came out and did a couple of numbers.

Friday 1st November Callum Clyburn’s Fundraiser was on with a sell-out crowd of 300. I had good mates Royce and Leanne Simmons, Brett Finch and Nathan and Ian Hindmarsh staying at Montrose. I was unfortunately away in Port Macquarie so missed all the fun!

On 2nd November best friend Viv Shields got married and I was MC and had a great time with my Port mates. Birthday party for me on the Sunday and then Melbourne Cup at Rydges on the Tuesday where I won Best Dressed.

November has been busy with lots of people staying also lunches, High Teas and Dinners to start the festive season off.

Margie Ryan hosted a lovely group from Cowra last Friday for a Christmas High Tea. This Friday 22nd November I am off to Bong Bong Picnic Races with mates. On Sunday 24th Orange Quota Club will bring a bus load over for a Christmas High Tea Brunch.

Lots of breakfasts, lunches and dinners with people all coming to Montrose to celebrate the festive season which I love and look forward to. The house is nearly finished and looks wonderful! Take Care,

Love Tommy xxx
