Our Bloke – David Bigg

21 August, 2019 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

How long have you lived in or around Canowindra and what do you like about living here? I have lived in Canowindra for 40 years, I did move away for a while to go to boarding school and for University.

Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about your work? I work at David Bigg Accountancy, I enjoy helping people reduce their taxes.

What do you do to unwind after work or on weekends? I love to watch the news each night, also news commentaries. I don’t watch anything on ABC except Four Corners.

What are you really good at? Keeping fit riding my bike to work each day.

What is your pet hate? The NBN not working.

If you could have a super power what would it be and why? To be able to fly to Pluto at the speed of light so in 4.5 hours instead of the 10 years that it would take in real life.

Tell us about your best holiday ever? My three weeks to Greece and Egypt. There are so many tombs to learn about. Archaeology is great.

What makes your day? Getting through the work load.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I rode in the Goulburn to Liverpool bike classic 30 years ago. I also rode the Blayney to Bathurst Challenge in 2016 and 2017 which leave me with some great memories.
