Father’s Day Sunday Session

21 August, 2019 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The ‘Sunday Sessions at The Bowlo’ are going to be celebrating Father’s Day and their First Birthday on Sunday 1st September. The club will light up the BBQ for some sausage sandwiches between 3 – 4.30pm and of course share some cake with everyone.

A big celebration needs a great performer and the Club are proud to have renowned guitarist and performer Lance Birrell joining them!

Now residing in Dubbo, Lance joins the sensational line up of artists who play at Tamworth Country Music Festival every year. “From the late 80s to early 90s I started getting involved playing guitar at country music club shows in South Australia, which led to getting heavily involved in the Country music scene for many years to eventually work and touring with artists such as Troy Cassar-Daley, Adam Harvey, Becky Cole and also doing duo and band work with Keith Urban while he was in Australia,” says Lance.

I am looking forward to performing for the people of Canowindra. I grew up in country South Australia so I have a great connection with country and rural people, who really enjoy live music and love to dance and have a great time.
