On Thursday 4th July 2019 during week 10, Canowindra Public School students in Years 5 and 6 played Cowra Public School in a Touch Football Knockout Competition.
Played on our school oval in Canowindra, we got off to a great start with Ludie Rogers scoring first leading the game 1-0. We had students from Year 5/6 and Year 6 cheering us on all game and we were coached
well by Miss White who encouraged us the whole game. We were strong in attack making metres and scoring tries off our quick passes. At half time we were leading 3-2.
The second half of the game we defended well working together as a team stopping Cowra from scoring and making lots of touches. We managed to score another 2 tries with all our determination to win the game with the final score being 5-2 Canowindra’s way.
Canowindra Public School will now play West Wyalong on Thursday 1st August during week 2 of Term 3, hopefully in Canowindra. Great Job Canowindra girls and Miss White!
