Although the ladies side didn’t come out with the win they showed great improvement once again. Unfortunately losing to Orange Emus 63-0.
Newbie Laura showed outstanding skills for her first time ever playing rugby union.
In the second half the Orange Emus let some of their ladies play with us to increase the numbers to 14 each side, this was a great experience. This weekend the ladies travel to Dubbo to play the Rhinos.
Unfortunately the men’s side also went down 38-7 to Geurie. Best and Fairest points went to Lachlan Davis – 3, Dan Friend – 2, and 1 point to Bailey Mannix. Players Player went to Dan Friend and a great first game he had.
Kenny Turnbull scored the only try and what a great try that was, with a chip and chase to himself. This week the men’s side travel to Molong to play the Molong Magpies kick off is at 3:15pm.
Don’t forget Saturday 11th May Canowindra will host 5 games of Rugby Union at the Oval. This will also be the annual Ladies Day.
