Dates for Community Bank Survey Released

19 December, 2018 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The Steering Committee of the Canowindra District Community Bank® project has given the green light to an independent firm of consultants to undertake the community survey early in 2019. Surveys will be delivered to every household in the Canowindra, Moorbel, Billimari, Eugowra, Gooloogong and Cudal areas.

There will be two different surveys, one for personal responses and one for business responses. The surveys will begin to be sent out during the last week of January and they should be returned by the last week of February.

You can also complete the surveys online, and there will be surveys available at the Bendigo Bank Agency, the Canowindra Newsagency and Finns Store if you don’t happen to receive one in the mail. There will also be private interviews conducted face to face with a number of local people and business people. If you are interested in taking part, please let the staff at the Bendigo Bank Agency in Gaskill Street know.

Now is the time to let the committee and Bendigo Bank know whether you support a Community Bank® branch being opened. The survey will allow the committee to gauge the level of support within the Community and determine whether the campaign progresses to the next stage.

With pledges sitting at $780,000 (still another $20,000 to go), and with more than $11 million of business on the books, it is now crunch time! The committee is hoping for a good take up to the survey and it will be conducted by an independent company, providing full confidentiality to those who respond. The survey response data will be aggregated and comments provided to the committee will be without reference to the individual respondents.
