On Wednesday 14th November the Townsend family provided a special morning tea for the children of St Edward’s School in Canowindra to say thank you! Late last year Oscar Townsend aged 8 was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and the Townsend’s world was turned upside down.
Last Wednesday was World Diabetes Day so the Townsend family wanted to thank the students and staff of St Eddie’s for being Type 1 Heroes. The students wore Type 1 Hero masks and enjoyed delicious
cupcakes baked by Mandy Townsend.
“The 1st year with Diabetes in the family has been made so much easier by everyone at the school all being so supportive of Oscar. I want to say thank you the best way I know how, and that is with cupcakes,” said Mandy Townsend.
