Last Saturday the Ron “Gunner” Lynch Memorial Triples Tournament proudly sponsored by Sue and Robert Lynch was held. Although only 18 teams competed, it was a successful and enjoyable day. The winners were the team of Steve Kirkman, Westy Wyburn and Tony Tuimauga and the runners up was the Woodstock team of Lisa, Mossie and Bob. First round winners was the team of Bruce and Cyril Webb and Tanya. Second round winners was the team of Dally and Jill Messenger and Ken Perry. Third round winners was the team of Sparky Wright, Tot Fisher and Ian Nelder.
Thanks to our restaurant staff who provided a beautiful Chinese buffet lunch. Also thanks to Matthew Lawrence who donated meat and seafood trays for raffle prizes.
Friday November 16 – Be sure to be at the club by 5.30pm if you wish to participate in the novelty event worth a jackpot in excess of $650. This will be followed by twilight barefoot bowls with names in by 5.30pm for 6pm start. One game of 15 ends being turn around triples.
Saturday November 17 – Consistency Singles – B Webb v B Lees and Marker C Webb. V Mirto v P Markcrow and Marker P McVicker. M Lawrence v N Knight and Marker N Delaney. T Tuimauga v M Cramp and Marker A Wyburn.
Sunday November 18 – Major Fours – C Webb, B McClintock, B Webb and S Kirkman v I Nelder, A Wyburn, G Fairley and M Lawrence.
Sunday badge draw will be $1,650 drawn between 5pm and 6pm. Must be in the club to win. Raffles to be drawn at 5.30pm with tickets on sale from 4pm. Friday badge draw will be $1,000. Bingo this Thursday 11am.
