Matt Arthur To Perform At Sunday Session @ The Bowlo

24 October, 2018 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The November ‘Sunday Session @ The Bowlo’ will welcome Orange local, blues guitarist and songwriter, Matt Arthur. Canowindra Community Bowls and
Recreation Club have had some fantastic crowds coming in for the Sunday Session and the support of the local community has been overwhelming and Sunday 4th November from 3-6pm will be no different.

“I’m really looking forward to playing in Canowindra. Having made the move from Sydney to the Central West one of the things I’ve enjoyed the most is playing for and connecting with the local and extended community. I love the atmosphere and vibe of a small town show – it definitely matches, if not beats what you get in the city. As a muso I feel like I’ve been welcomed with open arms by every community I play for, and so for me, it’s these gigs that mean
the most. The crowd makes it fun for me – so I look forward to making it fun for the Canowindra crowd!” said Matt.

Matt will play songs from his album, along with a mix of originals, and covers of a similar style including tunes from music legends Eric Clapton, Sting and Van Morrison.

The ‘Sunday Sessions @ The Bowlo’ have become a gathering of the community to support regional talent and provide a fun filled, free afternoon of entertainment. Thanks to the local beer masters at Pioneer Brewing Co who have donated a keg of their fine local beer, every schooner purchased goes straight back into supporting the Sunday Sessions. The Bowlo also offers a courtesy bus (free trips to and from the club in town) and are getting into the
family festival vibe with a jumping castle and face painting for the kids.

Enjoy your Sunday! First Sunday of every month at the Canowindra Community Bowls and Recreation Club.
