Community Bank Update

How Community Banking Works ….From A Customer’s View

We are often asked how will the Community Bank work if I am to become a customer?

Remember that as a customer, your relationship is with Bendigo Bank. All deposits are protected by Bendigo Bank, like the other four big banks. Bendigo Bank will make all the credit decisions and will also protect client privacy. All the Directors of the local Community Bank, whilst local, will not have access to any of the customer records held with the Community Bank. Each of these directors, including the current Steering Committee have all had to sign a Confidentiality Agreement with Bendigo Bank.

As Bendigo Bank has branches right across Australia, you as a customer will be able to access your banking needs Australia wide.

With the countdown to the opening of the agency just weeks away, and fit out starting this week, the Community Banking model has many fantastic benefits to the local communities in which they reside.
