Troy Grant announced the Age of Fishes Museum has received $10,000 in State Government funding for a coffee shop and outdoor area
The Nationals Member for Dubbo Electorate Troy Grant today announced the Age of Fishes Museum has received $10,000 in State Government funding for the construction of a coffee shop and outdoor area.
“The Age of Fishes Museum is a great place and I am excited to see it expand with a coffee shop and outdoor area,” said Mr Grant.
“Community Building Partnerships is an excellent way of getting much needed funding for smaller projects in regional communities, the Age of Fishes Museum expansion is a great example of this,”
This grant funding has been provided under the NSW Liberal / Nationals Government’s 2013 round of the Community Building Partnership program.
Mr Grant said he was pleased NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell announced the roll out of over 1,315 community projects across NSW as a part of the $90 million allocated to the program over four years.
“Building and restoring local infrastructure as well as supporting local construction jobs and businesses are a welcome boost in enhancing local investment in our communities,” Mr Grant said.
“The NSW Government is getting on with the job to rebuild NSW by investing almost $60 billion for infrastructure across the State over the next four years to fix the infrastructure backlog left by the previous NSW Labor Government.
“While we are delivering major infrastructure projects, like the Forbes Hospital redevelopment we understand the importance of local community infrastructure and potential benefits for local businesses.
“There was strong competition for the available funds and a high level of interest from the community with over 2,700 applications received across the state in total.
“I look forward to seeing the benefits to our communities as projects are undertaken and put into use across the electorate and I look forward,” Mr Grant said.
