The Latté Lawyer

21 March, 2018 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

It is now more than two years since Dubbo Law Firm Peacockes Solicitors began providing comprehensive legal services and advice from the small office attached to the Finns Store building in Gaskill Street, Canowindra.

What started as an appointment only service with local lawyer Geoff Yeo has grown to three permanent days per week with availability at other times by appointment. Geoff attributes the success of the practice to the fact that there was an untapped need for locals wishing to have readily available legal services from a lawyer that they knew who lived in and was part of the community.

Geoff originally known in town for his coffee making abilities says that not only is he seeing clients from Canowindra but is also seeing clients from Cowra and Orange who are seeking confidential legal advice outside of their home town. Geoff is also seeing clients from Sydney in particular property investors who are purchasing property locally and wanting a lawyer who can provide not only legal advice but one who has intimate local knowledge.

In the two years of practice Geoff has acted for clients with a broad range of matters, including drafting Wills and estate documents, handling small and large probate matters, providing family law advice and assistance, proving residential and rural conveyance, acting in contract disputes, advising on business structuring, assisting with rural and retail leases, employment law and providing court and tribunal appearances at Bloomfield hospital.

Since embarking on his law career Geoff has found that life as a country lawyer is never dull but very fulfilling. By trusting Peacockes Solicitors you will have access to the experience and resources of a premier in-land city law firm that understands the challenges of both small town and city living. So if you have any queries call Geoff Yeo on 0448 673 924.
