Last Saturday a mixed pairs match was played with Steve Kirkman and Di Slattery against Brent Lees and Moyna Rue. Steve and Di got off to a good start leading 12-2 after 7 ends. After that Brent and Moyna were able to come back and trail 17-15 after 16 ends. Steve and Di were able to maintain their lead and win the game 21-16.
Last Sunday Garry and Julie Fairley, Terry and Di Mooney, Steve Kirkman and Ian Nelder travelled to Gooloogong for their hams and turkeys mufti day. The team of Ian, Steve and “secret weapon” Julie were runners up on the day and won turkeys. Friday December 22 – Be at the club by 6.00pm if you wish to participate in the novelty event worth a jackpot of $125. Twilight barefoot bowls will follow.
The scale of prize money proudly sponsored by Men’s Bowls will depend on the number of teams nominated. One game of 15 ends with the entry fee being $21 per team.
The monster raffle draw will be held this Friday December 22. Hams and turkeys will be raffle prizes for this Wednesday and Friday market nights.
