Last Friday night ten teams competed in twilight barefoot bowls. The winners were the team of Garry and Julie Fairley and Peter. The runners up were the team of Doug Nash, Colin and Matt on a count back from the team of Steve, Leanne and Di. Over last weekend two matches of mixed pairs were played. Brent Lees and Moyna Rue had a comfortable win against Pat Kennedy and Tracey Fitzgerald 32-16. In a close scoring game Jenny Middleton and Peter Taylor played against Daph Bryant and Allan Wyburn with Jenny and Peter
winning 29-26. The O’Brien Cup final was also played with Nick Delaney and Phil Lees against Kevin Walker and Don Rollinson.
Kevin and Don held their good form right throughout the competition winning the final 31-25.
Friday December 15 – Be sure to be at the club by 6.00pm if you wish to participate in the novelty event with a jackpot of $125. This will be followed by twilight barefoot bowls with names in by 6.00pm for 6.30pm start. One game of 15 ends with the entry fee being $21 per team. Prizes for the night will be hams and turkeys proudly sponsored by the Club.
Saturday December 16 – Mixed pairs – N Delaney and M Lees v M Wright and G Haydon. I Nelder and L Burgess v P Taylor and J Middleton. B Lees and M Rue v S Kirkman and D Slattery.
Sunday December 17 – No championship games are drawn but Bowlers are welcome to have a rollup.
Hams and turkeys will be raffle prizes for market nights up to Friday December 22. The monster raffle draw will be held on Friday December 22.
