This month is Movember and the Hassad Australia Mo Bro’s from Canowindra are at it again for a good cause! Whether it be a trucker, regent, connoisseur or wisp style, the mo on these blokes faces this Movember can inspire donations, conversations and real change. Our roving reporter Kelly Breen caught up with the boys last week during a rain break whilst harvesting the canola – she even got a ride in the header!
Movember is changing men’s health worldwide as it encourages men to talk about their health. The team from Hassad Australia are participating in Movember for the third year now. Across the world, men die an average six years younger than women, and for reasons that are largely preventable.
70% of men say their friends can rely on them for support, but only 48% say that they rely on their friends. In other words: we’re here for our mates, but worried about asking for help for ourselves. Reaching out is crucial.
Hassad Manager Rob Atkinson said “It’s something we can all do as a team that shows support for a good cause. Looking silly for a month isn’t much of a sacrifice and we are all happy to do so to support Men’s Health. Men aren’t always good with speaking out about problems but speak to a Doctor if you need to!”
There is a definite rivalry between the boys at Hassad with some struggling to get any growth on their faces.
