Wine And Forage Tour

5 July, 2017 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Are you a food and wine connoisseur? Do you want to sample some of the best produce in the area? Or maybe you are after a relaxing weekend without having the hassle to navigate yourself. If this sounds like you then the Cowra Wine and Forage Tour is perfect for you.

As you relax in a small intimate group of around 24 people you will travel through the scenic vineyards of Cowra and the surrounding areas. Sample more than 25 tastings ranging from olives, figs, cheese and of course wine.

The tours are launching on August 5th with a refreshed itinerary to suit a variety of visitors. The tours will include cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, gourmet grazing plates to enjoy a food and wine pairing.

Assistant Manager for Cowra Tourism, Andrew Grinter, said “With an increased interest in the Cowra Wine region recently, we believe that the timing is right to launch our exciting new Wine and Forage tours.

Visitors are seeking experiences where they can meet the producers, taste their wares and purchase goods along the way. The Wine and Forage tours are all about showcasing the quality products on offer to our visitors whilst enjoying the stunning landscape of the Lachlan Valley”.

Events and Marketing Officer, Elizabeth Picker, says that the new food and wine tourism initiative is about a layering of interests for potential visitors.

“We are looking beyond the traditional wine visitor, offering a balance of history/ heritage with a food and wine tasting experience”.

The Wine and Forage Tours will coincide with the Cowra Wine Show Weekend and will run throughout the Spring season. Tickets are limited at $80.00 per person. You can book online at https://www.trybooking. com/book/event?eid=282932& or call the Cowra Information Centre 02 6342 4333.
