Last Saturday a major singles match was played with Vinnie Mirto against Jono Preston. Jono had a lead of 7-4 after 7 ends. Vinnie was then able to take control of the game winning 33-12. A minor singles match was also played with Steve Kirkman against Pat Kennedy with Pat winning the game 31-25. Last Sunday a minor singles match was played with Ken Perry against Jono Preston. Ken had a lead of 11-7 after 8 ends then Jono caught up. From then on the lead changed several times with Jono winning the game 32-29 after a few nail biting moments.
Next Saturday April 29 there will be mixed mufti bowls with prize money proudly sponsored by Bob and Shirley Robson. Winners will receive $90 while runners up will receive $60. First 14 teams accepted with the entry fee being $21 per team. Names in by 2.00pm for 2.30pm start. One game of 15 ends. Good luck to Nick Delaney, Phil and Brent Lees, Peter Taylor, Roger Traves, Matthew Lawrence, Matt Cramp, Matt McMullen and Steve Kirkman who travel to Grenfell this weekend to compete in the district triples.
Draws have been completed for the major and minor pairs as well as the major and minor triples. Wednesday badge draw is $150 and Friday badge draw is $400. Bingo this Thursday 11am.
