Wow! What a busy few weeks we have had and have coming up.
A huge congratulations to the Canowindra Pre School on receiving a massive grant of $246,090! This will not only be a great contribution to the Pre School but the whole community.
The Canowindra Balloon Challenges is only weeks away with community organisations busy organising stalls for the event. This year we are proud to have the Hummingbird balloon all the way from Albuquerque, which will be a main attraction at the Balloon Glow.
Talking about flying the team here at the Phoenix have decided to let me jump out of a plane, willingly I might add. This Saturday I will skydive 14 000ft above Dubbo at approximately 180km per hour with skydiveoz. If that doesn’t get your heart racing I don’t know what will. Stay tuned on Facebook for live updates on the day and an article in next week’s paper to see if I am still alive.
Coming up we have Easter next weekend, the International Balloon Challenge from the 18th-25th April and Anzac Day on the 25th April.
Easter celebrations have already begun with hat parades commencing at all of the schools. Hats were decorated from top to bottom and each year group had a different theme. It’s great to see everyone getting into the spirit and the kids certainly loved it!
Also don’t forget that we have moved! We are now located at 84 Gaskill Street.
