CANOWINDRA SQUASH BOUNCING ALONG

29 March, 2017 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Squash is going from strength to strength with new young players joining the Club. As a result of ‘Butch Simpsons Junior Squash’,
we have already gained enthusiastic youngsters Lucas and Ryan Ellis. These boys are now subbing into the senior competition, well done to Butch, Lucas and Ryan.

This Saturday the 1st April is the Canowindra Squash Open Day and everyone is invited to attend. The Open Day will be held at the squash courts located under the grandstand at the showground. Come have an introduction to squash, an all weather sport suitable for all ages.

There will be demonstration games, drills and a free sausage sizzle. Come and meet the friendly members of the club and enjoy all of what Canowindra Squash has to offer. There is always a lot of court coverage, fantastic footwork and a great ability of skill on the court each week with the two competitions a week.

Results from this week:
Sue Johnson stopped Wendy Bowman 55-52. Bill Paul went down 53-58 to Ken Stanley. Michael Flannery Beat Oliver Wythes 47-44. Sandy McDonald downed Sammy Austen 54-43. Mark Edwards just topped Peta Laurie 53-52 and Liz Grant defeated Kassie Wythes 54-52.
