Kevin Walker Deputy Mayor of Cabonne: Kevin has been elected unopposed as the new Deputy Mayor of Cabonne Council after Cr Lachie MacSmith stepped down from the position. Cr Walker was the only nominee, negating the need for a ballot.
Anzac Centenary Experience: Australia’s largest travelling exhibition is coming to Orange Indoor Tennis Club in the week 12 – 17 March. Canowindra Historical Society has made a booking for a visit on Wednesday 15 March and invite you to attend. This is a FREE exhibition, drawn from the vast resources of the Australian War Memorial. A mini-bus will leave from Canowindra Historical Museum at 8.30am, and return by 2.30pm. Cost (bus only) is $10 per head. Moorbel Markets are on again: This Saturday 4th March 2017 commencing at 8.00am until 12 noon at the Moorbel Hall. A great range of stalls available which in- clude handmade cards with the opportunity to make your own on the day or take home a kit, a great range of goats milk and vegetable oil soaps, kids clothing, fingernail extensions, macramé items & baskets garden art, gift items, recycled furniture, collectable items, a wide variety of plants, fruit & vegetables, eggs, Doug’s gourmet potatoes, medical socks, beautiful items with that personal touch, jewellery, jams, bric-a-brac and of course, lovely homemade cooking and BBQ available.
