I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the advertisers of the Canowindra Phoenix, and the loyal readers and contributors for their support since our first edition on 21st November, 2013. It is with great pleasure that I announce that Sarah Maynard has taken over the role of Publisher of the Phoenix Group of Newspapers, including the Canowindra Phoenix effective from the lst March. She will also be the Publisher of the Forbes and Parkes Phoenix newspapers.
The journey has certainly been challenging, particularly in these times of change and we are proud that we are the only newspaper group in the Central West of NSW that delivers to road mail boxes, and in Canowindra the only paper that delivers to homes. With over 1,300 papers printed each week it is no mean feat that we continue to do this, at the same time supporting local businesses, causes and charities and contributing to the community in so many ways.
I am about to start the next stage of my life and transition into retirement. For those of you who know me, you will also know that this will be a somewhat slower pace and one that I will need to adjust to. I know that you will afford Sarah the same level of support you have shown me, and with the remainder of the team staying in place, the Canowindra Phoenix will continue to play a vital role in the community.
