“CANCER – What Now”

There will be a 2 hour information session @ the Cowra Ex Services Club, 101-103 Brisbane Street, Cowra on the 25th February from 10.30am to 12.30pm; to assist those who have recently been diagnosed with cancer and their families. The sessions provide practical information and Q&A to reassure those diagnosed that there is help out there.

Life can be very unpredictable, especially when our health is affected. Certain questions are raised such as; How will I work? Will I be able to pay the bills? What about my chil- dren? How do I deal with this and what can I expect?

Some people may experience an emotional rollercoaster ride and a whirlwind of financial worry and uncertainty. Members of the NSW Community Health Department will be present at these sessions to help in answering all of your questions by providing practical advice.

Topics that will be discussed include; Info on who can help, Community organisations, Centrelink, Home and Community care, Commonwealth Carer Respite, things to expect, loss of appetite, fatigue and energy.

Information sessions are held every 4th Tuesday of every month @ the Cowra Ex Services Club from 10.30am to 12.30pm

For more information on these sessions, please contact Nancy: 6369 3381 OR Carolynn: 6340 2434
