MEN”S BOWLS
Last Sunday the last round of pennants was played. The No 4’s went down to Forbes 10-0 while the No 7’s went down to Cowra 9.5-.5. Forbes No 4’s and Cowra No 7’s now progress to the zone playoffs. Saturday May 7th was a minor pairs final between J Preston and N Delaney vs K Fisher. Major singles; B Lees vs R Traves, Marker I Nelder. Sunday May 8th will be a Mother’s Day mixed mufti bowls with names in by 1.30pm for a 2pm start. Fuzz Thompson Memorial Day will be held on Sunday May 15th. Please get your teams together and nominate for this special day. Nominations for the consistency singles and O’Brien Cup will close this Sunday May 8th.
WOMEN’S BOWLS
Bobbie Turner, Moyna Rue and Nancy Morrow represented their club at Manildra’s Presidents Day which was held on Wednesday 27th April. No trophies but they all enjoyed a day of bowls and fellowship.
Result of one match played on Tuesday 3rd May. Major Singles Final: Margaret Gosper defeated Nancy Morrow. Congratulations to Margaret the Singles Champion for 2016. Thanks to the marker Colleen Crump.
There were three social games played 2 triples and 1 pairs. Joyce Middleton, Shirley Robson and Jenny Middleton defeated Daph Bryant, Bobbie Turner and Radka Tatterson. Linda Miller, Deana Noble and Christine Pickard defeated Pauline Carroll, Betty Hodge and Sandy McDonald 20-14. Diane Slattery and Gwen Haydon defeated Moyna Rue and Betty Jenkins 21-11.
