Canowindra got the first points on the board in Molong in the 27th minute thanks to Jayden Brown. There were some good offloads from Todd Wyburn but in the 30th minute Molong crashed over the posts making it 7-7 and quickly scored another try minutes later making it 14-7 to the Magpies.
Molong came out firing in the second half and within 9 minutes had scored another try but missed the conversion- 19-7. The Magpies soon had another try under their belt followed by another, extending their lead to 31-7. In the 28th minute Clayton Maynard managed to level the score slightly making it 31-12 but it wasn’t to be for the Pythons as the final whistle blew. 3 points went to Dean Schaefer, 2 points to Scott Ellie and Clayton Maynard, 1 point to Mitch White and Jayden Brown and Players’ player went to Dean Schaefer and Jayden Brown.
