2022 Canowindra Christmas Day Lunch committee would like to extend a thank you to the town of Canowindra and all that participated in their annual Christmas lunch.
The 10th Canowindra Christmas Day lunch was very successful with approximately 50-55 people sharing the day.
There are many people to thank for contributing including Canowindra Vinnies, Tommy Jeffs, Lawrence’s IGA, Canowindra Bakery, Canowindra Phoenix, Canowindra News, Canowindra Lion’s Club, local on-line social media venues and Canowindra Bowling Club for the excellent venue.
We would also like to thank Canowindra Pharmacy, Vinnies, the Craft and Hobby Shop, Canowindra Creative Centre, Orana House and Food Basket for displaying our booking sheets.
Many individuals helped and contributed in many ways, with hall decorations and setting up of tables, food preparation and servers and provided beautiful homemade desserts.
Rev Joy Harris gave a blessing on the day while the musical talents of Zoe, Ruby, Jasmine and Gabe entertained the attendees with an assortment of Christmas Carols.
The committee would also like to thank those who assisted with transport, and the people that stayed on to help with the cleaning up.
Also, to those who shared their meal with the community, it was wonderful to have everyone attending, contributing and sharing in our community Christmas spirit.
Please accept this as the committee’s personal thank you. We look forward to planning for our 2023 Christmas Day Lunch.
