How many laps do you think four vintage tractors could do of the Canowindra Sports Oval in 24 hours?
The first 24 hour Central West Tractor Trek Tractorthon will be held in Canowindra on Saturday 28th July at 2pm until Sunday
29th July at 2pm.
Over the two days at the Oval the Canowindra and surrounding communities are invited to come along and support the four vintage tractors that will be participating in the Tractorthon. The four tractors that will be participating on the day are from Canowindra, Yetholme, Cargo and Bathurst and there will also be vintage cars and rare tractors on display.
Roy White, from Canowindra and the Central West Tractor Trek Group has approached the three local schools and the pre-school to come along and participate on the day. Liz Francis, Director at Canowindra Pre-School, Sharon Hawker, Principal at Canowindra Public School, Ken Mc- Namara, Principal at St Edward’s Primary School and Darryl Ball, Deputy Principal at Canowindra High School will all take a turn at driving the vintage tractors for an hour on Sunday 29th July between 11am-12pm.
