2022 Christmas Shopping Night

8 December, 2022 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

To The Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all the Canowindra Business owners who participated in the 2022 Christmas Shopping Night.

It was great to see the streets lined with people browsing the many shops and street stalls.

The ambience was lovely, with live music and tasty cocktails on the Montrose House’s front lawn.

Thank you to everyone who assisted with the organisation of the event, particularly to business owners who offered vouchers, giveaways and prizes to shoppers.

It was great to see so many people out and supporting the local business owners, with some people travelling over from Parkes, Cowra and Orange to attend the evening.

The evening flowed into the pubs and clubs who opened their doors to an influx of patrons when the evening started to wind down. Friends and Families enjoying a beverage and meal in Canowindra is really what we are hoping to continue to see.

Generous businesses donated vouchers on the evening. Frock On donated a $50 voucher which was won by Hannah Gordon. Robyn Slattery was the lucky winner of $100 from Fashions on Gaskill, and the winner of $100 from the Age of Fishes in Canowindra was Meghan Redhorn. We hope you enjoy your prizes.

I ask that you continue to support our local shops this Christmas Season, and some of our local businesses that don’t have a shop front as well. We are a very lucky town to have so many artisans, wine makers, food producers and other businesses.

I hope that we can bring back the Christmas Shopping Night in 2023.

Kind Regards,
Dot Cain
Owner of Fashions on Gaskill
