Hermes annual on-property ram sale is next Friday.
The Hermes Poll Dorset Annual Ram Sale is on Friday, September 10 at 2pm, with an offering that will enable clients to successfully select rams that exhibit leading-edge genetics that are directed at commercial meat production and carcass quality.
The date of the annual sale has been altered to accommodate the changes with the weekly stock markets in Cowra and CTLX.The 120 rams selected for sale clearly show the direction of their breeding program. The rams are deep-bodied, well covered, and show outstanding muscle definition.
Backed by 43 years of breeding they deliver low to moderate birth weights, structural correctness, desirable carcass traits and excellent eating quality.
Stud master Sandy Morrison said, “When your business is meat, reward it with a Hermes Meat Maker. We are offering rams for the meat industry, and we are leading Australia with outstanding carcass characters.”
“Our focus is to deliver a superior final product, the carcass. A high-yielding, well-composed body that is sought after by processors.”
“The rams will deliver lambs to suit over the hooks selling or to present well in the sale yards. In addition, they are used over a wide variety of maternal phenotypes with great success.”
The rams will be offered individually to allow buyers an opportunity to select the genetics they require for their breeding flocks and target. The rams will be penned by noon on sale day, or inspections prior to the sale can be arranged.
Sale catalogues are available online at www.hermesrams.com.au from the selling agents JJ Dresser & Co by calling 6545 0354 or by contacting Sandy Morrison on 6345 0331.
