Cabonne Council has shown its commitment to skills development by partnering with apprenticeship specialists, Skillset, to offer five apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities to commence in 2020.
Cabonne Council Human Resources Manager, Glenn Meehan says that apprenticeships and traineeships offer a variety of benefits for councils, staff, young people and the community. “We are proud to partner with Skillset to provide local young people with training and employment which will in turn contribute to the productivity of our region’s businesses and supporting the future prosperity of our local communities. For local government, apprenticeships and traineeships foster young talent, encourage youth retention in our community, help address skills gaps and create local employment opportunities.”
