This year marks 100 years of the Country Women’s Association of NSW Canowindra Branch and to celebrate, they will be holding a Centenary Celebration Luncheon.
The Canowindra CWA invites all past members to join them to celebrate their 100-year celebration. The luncheon will be held on Saturday 25th May from 12pm – 3.30pm at the Canowindra Bowling Club. Tickets cost $60 per person, which includes lunch and entertainment.
In the 100 years the CWA of NSW has been in existence, members have helped bring about some major changes across the state. From the earliest days of the Association, members were tireless in their efforts to establish more hospitals, maternity wards and baby health centres in country centres. The Association went onto play an important advocacy role in the introduction of compulsory seat belts, white lines on the edge of roads and flashing speed signs in school zones.
