My Love Affair with Dyson

With Valentine’s Day just passed, one might wonder why someone would want to share another type of love affair.

After hearing at least three people, in the space of around two months say, ‘  I love my Dyson’, or simply, ‘I love Dyson’.   I had to agree.

Recently I had occasion to call Dyson, as a tradesman had decided to use my Dyson to clean up all the dust he had created and consequently my Dyson ‘died’.   It smelt like it was burning. On ringing Dyson, they promptly gave me a number, asked me to pack it up and send back to them, prepaid. They then advised what the problem was, promptly fixed it and it was returned looking like new.

Another of the girls in the office, had to cause to ring them last week, and they were told the problem was that the turbine head had to be replaced. In addition, as the machine was just out of warranty they agreed to replace it at no cost and extend the warranty.

Once again the same process followed, with the return of the machine and very prompt service.    At the same time, they keep you informed of what is happening during this time.

Then the third person in the office, said : ‘I love the way Dyson remind me to clean my filters’.

It has to be said that their level of service is second to none.   Most times when you require a small appliance to be fixed, it is a job to find anybody who will do it and sometimes the call out is more than the repair. If Dyson are to be judged on their level of customer service then surely they deserve to be at the top of the tree.

Whilst they are not what we would call cheap, they provide something which few other companies offer and are in this relationship for the long haul.

At the moment there are some specials around and in fact Betta Home Living in Orange, have a starter Dyson at  $699.

If you have a story to tell about a company who you consider can beat this level of service, please share with us.
